“The biggest shift is going from knowing to not knowing, and from speaking to listening.”
— Leah Penniman, Soul Fire Farm
The Kitsap Community and Agricultural Alliance acknowledges that inequality and injustice remain in our society today, and we want to reaffirm our strong commitment to access, inclusion, equity, justice, and respect in our community. Food, community, agriculture, and land unites us all. In our efforts to grow a stronger Kitsap food system, we are dedicated to listening, learning, and examining how we can do more to support black people, indigenous people, and people of color.
