“I’m Committed” is a campaign launched in the Fall of 2016 by the Kitsap Community & Agricultural Alliance (KCAA) in an effort to promote our local farmers and producers.
Kitsap County has a rich history of agriculture and we are very lucky to still have a significant number of farmers working the land, keeping this tradition alive. But sadly, times have changed and much of our community has lost the connection to the land. Our ancestors knew their farmers well and visited them frequently.
We’d like to bring this relationship back.
Being a career farmer requires complete dedication and we depend on selling our product to keep our farms going. We are “committed” to providing food for our communities. Our hope is that the community will nurture this relationship by making “a commitment” to support us in our efforts. Our goal is to rebuild this relationship. To welcome you into our families, provide you with the freshest food possible and help you learn more about where your food comes from.
Kitsap Fresh offers year-round access to local food via an “on-line Farmers Market” venue with 7 pick-up locations throughout Kitsap County every Wednesday of the year.
